Training

EMT and Paramedic students receive challenging practicums , as they complete their training under the direction of a Paramedic Supervisor.

The affiliated Hospital also provides an ongoing skills maintenance program for the Paramedics within the Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Operating Room, Obstetrical Suite, Pediatric Department and Nursery. The Physician Advisor provides consistent input through regularly scheduled meetings, medical audits and medical rounds at the Hospital. Paramedics are called upon to assist with establishing intravenous lines in the Hospital as well as other relevant duties.
